3A, MONACO
Nobby, G0VJG, will be active as 3A/G0VJG between October 1-5th. Activity will be on the HF bands using 100 watts and SSB only. QSL via G0VJG.

5X, UGANDA (Update)
Nick, G3RWF, informs OPDX that he is returning to Uganda on October 16th, and expects to be on the air probably the next day as 5X1NH. He mentions that he will return to the UK on December 12th, and states, "Same set-up as usual - mixture of bands and modes". This probably means 80-10 meters, and he prefers to operate CW, but will also be on the Digital modes with some SSB. There will be no 160m (no room for an antenna) and 6 meters is not licensed. Operations will be limited because Nick does voluntary work at the "Mountains of the Moon University" in Fort Portal, so activity will be during his off hours. He adds that he is carrying all of his gear there (rig is K3). Nick has put over 100k QSOs in the log from Uganda and is looking for more! If you hear Nick's callsign before the 16th of October it is a PIRATE!.
ADDED NOTE FROM NICK: He will be active as 5B/G3RWF during the month of September while on holiday.

9G, GHANA
Emil, ZS6EGB, is back in Ghana as of July 20th, under a new assignment with the Mining Group operating in the Central Province. He states, "We are setting up a new Clinic and will only be operational after my vacation." Please look for 9G5ZS on most bands. His usual setup will be an Icom 706mkIIG and a HyGain Vertical plus Dipoles for the low bands. QSL via ZS6EGB (see (QRZ.com)).

AH0, MARIANA ISLANDS
Look for 19 year old university students Seiya "Sam"/JE1XUZ (KH0XH) and Yuzo/JQ2WTT (KH0XW) to be active as AH0BT from the Saipan BBQ Contest Club on Northern Mariana Islands, Saipan Island (OC-086) between August 29th and September 2nd. Activity will be focused on the All Asian DX SSB Contest (September 1-2nd) as a Multi-Single entry. QSL via 7L1FPU.

AH0, MARIANA ISLANDS
Kuroi, JH0MGJ/AL5A, will be active as AL5A/AH0 from Saipan Island (OC-086) between September 7-9th. He states that he will be looking "for many friends who will be in the Europe". QSL via LoTW. If you want a paper QSL (if it is necessary), his QSL Manager is JA7JEC.

C2, NAURU ISLAND
Yoosuke "Yuki", JH1NBN, will be active as C21BN (and possibly a special callsign) from Nauru between September 3-10th. Activity will be on 40-10 meters using simple antennas with 100 watts. QSL via his home callsign.

C6, BAHAMAS
Robert, AK4BM, will be active as C6AGT from Green Turtle Cay (NA-080) between December 2012 and January 2013 (Specific dates were not provided). He plans to have a beacon (most likely on 10 meters) active during the day and will be operating SSB, and possibly the Digitial modes (PSK31 and JT65) during the evenings on various bands between 40-10 meters, as conditions permit. He may also operate from other uninhabited islands around Green Turtle Cay using a low power transmitter (Yaesu 817nd) using wire antennas, and probably on the 20 meter band. All QSL cards will be returned with a photo QSL from the island upon his return. Please send them direct to his home callsign AK4BM (w/SASE/Green Stamps appreciated, but not required).

E5, NORTH COOK ISLANDS
After trying to head back to South Cook Islands, the sail boat developed some problems and the skipper decided to take Andy/AB7FS (E51AND) and his XYL Kathy back to Palmerston Atoll (OC-124), North Cook Islands. The couple will now stay until the middle of September. Look for Andy to be active mainly on CW around 14048 kHz. He often checks into the ANZA Net on 14183 kHz after 0500z. QSL via AB7FS.

EA8, CANARY ISLANDS
Luis, EA8AY, from the Island of Tenerife (DIE S-012, WLOTA 1276), announced that he will be in the CQWW DX SSB Contest (October 27-28th) as a Single-Op/Single-Band (??) entry. This will be his first SSB contest. QSL via W2GR or LoTW. Visit his Web site at:

http://www.ea8ay.com/ef8x

EL, LIBERIA
Look for the VooDoo Contest Group to once again be active from here between November 21-27th. This is their 24th straight year. Their main goal is to be an entry in the CQWW DX CW Contest (November 24-25th) as a Multi-Multi category using the callsign EL2A. For more info on Lars Rooth, SM1BOE, see:

ZD9, GOUGH ISLAND (Bad and Good News)
Its seems the DX community has been duped on the Paul, ZD9KN, operation from Gough Island (AF-030). ZD9KN is a PIRATE! Several sources report that Johan, ZS1A, has confirmed that the callsign ZD9KN has never been issued. So, do not waste time working this station if you hear him.

The good news is that Gerard ZS6KX/ZS7KX will be going to Gough Island sometime September for one year. He is hoping to be issued the callsign ZD9KX and is awaiting for the approval/license. QSL route TBA. Look for more details to be forthcoming.
