3B8, MAURITIUS. Hans, PA3HGT, will be active as 3B8/PA3HGT from Mauritius
(AF-049) between September 4-24th. Activity will be holiday style on
40/20/10 meters using mostly SSB, and possibly some Digital modes.
Equipment will be an Icom IC7100 into an Endfed antenna. QSL via his home
callsign, direct or by the Bureau. No LOTW or eQSL; he prefers a real
card!


9M6, EAST MALAYSIA. Saty, JE1JKL, will once again be active as 9M6NA from
Labuan Island (OC-133) during the CQWW WPX CW Contest (May 26-27th)
as a Single-Op/All-Band/High-Power entry. He will be on the island between
May 21st and June 11th. QSL via his home callsign, ClubLog or LoTW. See

9X, RWANDA (Update). Members of the Italian DX Team (IDT) are planning
a DXpedition to Rwanda between late September 27th and October 12th. The
callsign has been announced as 9X0T. They are seeking input for the needs
on both bands and modes. DXers can take the survey at:

CQ NEWS RELEASE (Announcing: 2018 Inductees, CQ Amateur Radio Hall of
Fame). Rich Moseson, W2VU, Editor or CQ Amateur Radio, sent out the
following on May 18th: The CQ Amateur Radio Hall of Fame has 11 new members
for 2018, CQ magazine announced today. This brings to 321 the total number
of members inducted since the hall's establishment in 2001.
  The CQ Amateur Radio Hall of Fame honors those individuals, whether
licensed hams or not, who have made significant contributions to amateur
radio; and those amateurs who have made significant contributions either
to amateur radio, to their professional careers or to some other aspect
of life on our planet. The 2018 inductees (listed alphabetically) are:
 * Marlon Brando, FO5GJ (SK), iconic movie actor
 * David Brown, KC5ZTC (SK), NASA astronaut killed in 2003 Columbia
   disaster
 * Kalpana Chawla, KD5ESI (SK), NASA astronaut killed in 2003 Columbia
   disaster
 * Laurel Clark, KC5ZSU (SK), NASA astronaut killed in 2003 Columbia
   disaster
 * Ashhar Farhan, VU2ESE, pioneer in popularizing open-source Bit-X
   "semi-kits" using Arduinos for affordable QRP transceivers
 * Grady Fox, W4FRM (SK), SSB pioneer; worked on Manhattan Project during
   World War II and the camera for NASA's lunar landers
 * Wendell King, ex-2ADD (SK), African-American pioneer of broadcasting
   and college radio
 * Fred Lloyd, AA7BQ, founder of QRZ.com, the most widely-accessed amateur
   radio website
 * Mark Pecen, KC9X/VE3QAM, wireless communication and networking pioneer,
   inventor, cybersecurity expert
 * Carole Perry, WB2MGP, longtime advocate for youth in amateur radio;
   moderator of Dayton youth forum for more than 30 years
 * Ed Westcott, W4UVS, photographer who chronicled the Manhattan Project
   during World War II and later helped the FBI with its investigation of
   the Jonestown massacre


  Two new members each are also being inducted into the CQ DX and Contest
Halls of Fame at the respective Dayton DX and Contest dinners. Their names
will be announced separately.


EX0, KYRGYZSTAN. The SP9KAT DX Team will be active as EX0PL from Kyrgyz-
stan between September 1-10th. Polish operators mentioned are Igor/SP9AMF,
Marian/SP9DEM, Darek/SP9ETE, Rafal/SP9IVD, Tadeuz/SP9MZH, Tomasz/SP9NLT,
Mirek/SP9ONC, Jacek/SP9OUV, Tomasz/SP9SCZ, Mateusz/SQ9IWS, Rafal/SQ9MCI,
and Waldemar/SQ9OUK. Activity will be on various HF bands and modes. QSL
via SP9KAT, direct or by the Bureau.


FR, REUNION ISLAND (Reminder). Thomas, F4HPX, will once again be active as
FR/F4HPX from various locations on Reunion Island (AF-016) between May 25th
and June 15th. He will be operating from his family home, and also from
beaches and especially from the mountains because there is a lot of them
including an active volcano. His SOTA aim this year is the tallest FR/RE-001
3070m ASL. Activity will be on 40-15 meters using CW (possibly), SSB, RTTY,
PSK31, JT65, JT9 and possibly FT8. He will use various wire and portable
antennas with 2 rigs: FT-891 from home with 100w and KX2 outside (alone
or with small 30W HF amp). QSL via his home callsign, by the Bureau,
direct, LoTW, eQSL or ClubLog's OQRS.


IOTA NEWS..............
  AS-066.  Members of the Russian Robinson Club (RRC) will be active
           as R0LS/p from Skrebtsova Island (WW Loc. PN53WF, RR-16-18)
           between May 24-28th. Operators mentioned are Sergey/RW0LZ,
           Sergey/R0LS and Vlado/UA0LCZ. Activity will mainly be on CW
           using the following suggested frequencies: 3507, 7007,10107,
           14017, 18077, 21017, 24897 and 28017 kHz. QSL via R0LS.


  OC-137.  Mike, VK4DX, will be active as VK4DX/P from Russell Island,
           Southern Moreton Bay Islands, between June 1-3rd. Activity
           will be on 80-20 meters using CW and SSB. QSL via VK4DX,

KH6, HAWAII. Eric, K0EAP, Eric, will be active as KH6/K0EAP from the Big
Island between May 27th and June 2nd. Activity will be on 40/30/20/15 
meters using CW and SSB. He plans to activate at least 1 SOTA and WWFF.
Equipment is an Elecraft KX3 running 15w into a LNR Trail Friendly End
Fed and SOTAbeams Bandspringer Midi antennas. QSL via LoTW, QRZ, by the
Bureau or Direct. (NO SASE necessary)


PJ4, BONAIRE. Operators Lauren/W0LD and Jon/N0JK will be active on 6
meters with a special PJ4 callsign from the PJ4G station on Bonaire
Island (SA-006) during the ARRL VHF Contest (June 9-10th). Outside of
the contest (before and after) they will be on HF and 6m using CW, SSB
and FT8. QSL via W0LD.

  TM40KOP QRT. Maurice, F5NQL, reports, that "the special event callsign
  for the 40th anniversary of the Provins ARC, F6KOP, founding is now
  QRT. The log has been closed at 4398 QSOs and 106 DXCC entities. The
  log is uploaded on LoTW, ClubLog and eQSL. For those who want a paper

Z23MD ZIMBABWE DXPEDITION (2018 The New Adventure For the Mediterraneo
DX Club Guys). PRESS RELEASE #1 [edited] -- On the road again, and this
time on the road to Africa to reach their next QTH on far from Harare;
just in the middle of a great safari land. As a matter of fact, the leader
Antonio, IZ8CCW, and the co-leader Gabriele, I2VGW, are happy to announce
to the DXer Community the new adventure with the international MDXC team:
Zimbabwe 2018. The license is already in the leaders's hands as Z23MD and
they planned to be on air from October 26th to November 6th.
  According to the evaluations that they have done, they are confident to
give to a lot of DXers the possibility to work this country on the Low-
Bands, WARC and especially on the Digital modes. 
  At the moment the team is already built by experienced operators:
20 people coming from 8 (eight) countries. On the air will be five stations,
any mode, and around the clock.
  For any further news and updates please stay tuned: the official Web site
of this new great adventure is coming. Of course any donation and sponsor-
ship will be very very appreciated by the entire team! The official Web

Z6, KOSOVO. Franco, IZ5YHD, will be active as Z6/IZ5YHD/P from the Republic
of Kosovo between August 20-26th. Activity will be holiday style on various
HF bands using SSB. QSL via his home callsign, direct, by the Bureau,
ClubLog or LoTW.


ZF, CAYMAN ISLANDS (Update to OPDX.1364). Frank, K3TRM, will be active
as ZF2RM from the Cayman Brac (NA-016) sometime during late June (dates
have not been announced yet but will be forthcoming). QSL  via K3TRM,
direct, by the Bureau, LoTW or ClubLog.
