* PLEASE NOTE: The report "could" contain "Pirate/SLIM" operations or
more likely a "BUSTED CALLSIGN". As always, you never know - "Work
  First Worry Later".

3D2, FIJI (New Ham). Joanna "JK", 3D2ZK, from Denarau, Nadi, Fiji, posted
the following on QRZ.com [edited], "I'm very new to the HAM radio family.
Please be patient when you hear me. I finished Jagielonica Law University
in Krakow, Poland. I am a living rebel, so I joined forces with Rebel DX
Group. My plan is to be active from 3D2/C (Conway Reef), 3D2/R (Rotuma
Island) and several rare IOTAs around Fiji from May 2021 for 3-4 months."
No QSNs have been reported yet.

4X73/4Z73, ISRAEL (Israel celebrates 73 years of Independence). Jan,
4X1VF, informs OPDX readers, "This year is a very special for the ham
radio family all over the world." Special activity will take place during
these days using the special callsigns 4X73(XX) and 4Z73(XX). The "XX"
will include each operator's last two letters of their private callsign.
The activity will start 0600 UTC, April 14th, until Saturday, 2200 UTC,
April 17th. QSL connects will be uploaded to LoTW or operators will have
their own private QSL cards printed. Some of the operators will use the
special callsigns during the "Holyland Contest" that will be taking place
in the same weekend.

5W, SAMOA. Hiro, JF1OCQ, is now active as 5W7X (remotely from Japan)
from Samoa (OC-097). The length of his activity is not known. Activity
will be on all HF bands. QSL via JF1OCQ. See QSL info on QRZ.com.

8Q, MALDIVES. Mats, SM6LRR (RM2D), will be active as 8Q7MS from Ukulhas
Island, Alif Alif Atoll (AS-013), between March 28th and April 10th.
Activity will be holiday style on mainly 40-15 meters using CW, but with
some SSB as well. This is a NON-FT8/FT4 expedition! He states, "Equipment
will be decided later, but license is valid for several radios (Lab599
TX-500, Elecraft KX-3 and Kenwood TS 590S), as well as Expert 1.3 K-FA.
Antennas will be either Inverted Vees or 1/4-wave verticals on Spider-
beam or DX Wire poles. As this is the first time I visited the location,
it is still uncertain how signal environment will be. Antennas will be
limited to the roof of the building where we will stay, meaning that
I am not at all sure which bands I may accommodate. Most likely, no
160/80 meter operation. More information to follow later." QSL info TBD.

9J, ZAMBIA. Bodo, HB9EWU, who is currently on a humanitarian mission to
northern Zambia in the Luapula Province (WW Loc. KI40iq) per QRZ.com, is
now active as 9J2BG. Activity will be on 20 meters with an end-fed half-
wave antenna into Yaesu FT-857. QSL via HB9EWU, direct or by the Bureau.
The length of his stay is not known, but he states that QSL cards will
only be sent in 2022, when he is back in Switzerland!

A4, OMAN. Khalid, A41CK, will be active as A42K (club/contest callsign)
during the ARRL DX SSB Contest (March 6-7th) as a Single-Op/All-Band
entry. QSL via LoTW and EA5GL.

AM3, SPAIN (Special Event). Look for special event stations AM3DIM and
AM3YLD to be active between March 6-12th. Activity is to celebrate "Inter-
national Women's Day" (March 8th). Operations will be on various HF bands
and ECHOLINK. A special certificate is available. See QRZ.com for details.

C7, AUSTRIA. QSL Manager Nick, UA3DX, informs OPDX that members of the
International Amateur Radio Contest DX Club (ARCDXC - United Nations)
will once again be active as C7A during the month of March for the World
Meteorological Organization (WMO) which is a specialized agency of the
United Nations. They celebrate WMO Day on March 23rd. Activity will be
on 160-6 meters including 60/30/17/12 meters using CW, SSB and the Digital
modes. Also, look for them to be in the CQWW WPX SSB Contest (March
27-28th). QSL via UA3DX, direct or by the Bureau. ADDED NOTE: Remember
this station counts for Austria (OE) for DXCC purposes.

DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME (DST). Next weekend it will be time to change your
clocks again. Countries in the Northern Hemisphere (most of N. American
and some of the Caribbean) who observe Daylight Saving Time should change
their clocks on Sunday, March 14th at 2:00 AM, and should move their
"local clocks" forward 1 hour to 3:00:00 AM local time. Daylight Saving
Time will end on Sunday, November 7th at 2:00 AM. European countries will
switch to DST on March 28th. For the history and details about DST, as
well as an interesting map of the world (showing the countries who observe
DST), see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daylight_saving_time
                   http://www.timeanddate.com/time/dst/2021.html
ADDED NOTES: Hopefully, all amateur radio operators know not to change
their GMT/UTC/ZULU clocks. However, since most operators usually set their
computers to local time, some may have to change their settings on "some"
ham radio software (ex. logging, propagation, DXTelnet, etc..) programs.

DL21, GERMANY (Special Event). Members of the DARC will activate the
special event station DL21EURO during the UEFA (under the age of 21)
European Football Championship between March 24th and June 6th. See
QRZ.com for more details. QSL via the Bureau or direct to DK5ON.

DQ11, GERMANY (WCA Op). Look for the special callsign DQ11WCA to be active
until April 17th, from different WCA (World Castle Award Program) and WWFF
(World Wide Flora Fauna) areas. All QSOs will be confirmed automatically
via the Bureau (you don't need to send your own card). The station also
has a special reference number "DOK-WCA11" for the German Amateur Radio
Club (DARC) DLD award and of course gives you points for the WCA/COTA
award programs. Logsearch at: https://www.qrz.com/lookup/dq11wca

on their QSNs on their PacketCluster reports. The format we
suggest is "IOTA#/Mode/Island or Group" (ex. OC-146/FT8/Celebes).

AS-152. (Reminder) Members of the Arctic Legends Team (RT9K), are
expected to be active as RI0Q from Bolshoj Begichev Island
soon. To achieve their goal to operate from Bolshoj Begichev
Island, the team has to travel 3624 km (by snowmobiles 1812
km*2). The latest info indicates: "The RI0Q team plans to arrive
in Norilsk on March 7th. A few days later they will depart
for Khatanga arriving there on March 15th (weather dependent)."
This is the fifth expedition from the cycle "Legends of the
Arctic". For more details, see OPDX.1480/1482/1494 or:

PLEASE NOTE: Since the Webmasters of the new have
decided NOT to post or dedicate a Web page to announce upcoming IOTA
operations, PLEASE send your IOTA operations information to the OPDX,
and we will post it here in an upcoming bulletin......

J7, DOMIMICA. Steve, AA7V, is expected to be active as J7V (pending) from
Dominica (NA-101) sometime this year. STAY TUNED.

KH7, HAWAII. Fred, NA2U, will be active as KH7M (remotely) from the Pu'u
O'o Radio Club station and during the ARRL DX SSB Contest (March 6-7th)
as a Single-Op entry. QSL via LoTW or direct to either I0MWI (world-wide)
or KH6ZM (stateside).

KH9, WAKE ISLAND. A couple different sources are reporting that Randy,
WW6RG, will be returning to Wake Island and will be active as WW6RG/KH9.
Activity will be limited to his spare time on the following days: March
21st, March 26th and April 1st. Watch 20/17 meters SSB around 0430-0700z
on those days. The equipment he will be using is an IC-705 into an Alex-
Loop. QSL only via WW6RG. No eQSL or LoTW.

KP4, PUERTO RICO (NA-099). Albert, NH7A, will be active as KP4/NH7A from
Puerto Rico during the ARRL DX SSB Contest (March 6-7th) as a Single-Op/
All-Band/High-Power entry. QSL via LoTW, ClubLog's OQRS or direct to F5VHJ.

NP4, PUERTO RICO (NA-099). Yuriy, N2TTA, will be active as NP4DX in the
ARRL International DX SSB Contest (March 6-7th) as a Single-Op entry.
Activity will also count for the WLOTA as LH-2802. QSL via M0OXO. See
the Web page at: https://wp3c73.wixsite.com/wp3c

OA, PERU. Ed, W9SI, is currently active as OA4SS. He states on QRZ.com,
"I am active on HF including the WARC bands, both on SSB and CW. My equip-
ment includes a Kenwood TS-480 and a Drake L-4B linear. I also have a
Kenwood TMV71A for two meters and 70 centimeters, but do not yet have an
antenna for 70 cms. My antennas are a TH7-DXX and inverted "V" dipoles
for the 75-80, 40, 30, 17, 12 and 6 meter bands. I have a locally made
omni-directional antenna for two meters. It is very difficult for me to
make even CW contacts on 160 meters, where I use my shorted-out 80 meter
dipole as a long wire antenna. In Perú we can only operate on 160 meters
between 1.800 and 1.850 MHz. In Perú, the amateur service may only use
the lower half of the 75-80 meter band. Due to a regional agreement with
several other countries, we can only operate between 3.500 MHz and 3.750
MHz." Look for Ed in the ARRL DX SSB Contest (March 6-7th) as a Single-Op/
All-Band/High-Power entry. QSL via LoTW or direct to K6BJ.

OF60, FINLAND (Special Event). Members of the SSAB Raahe ARC will be
active as OF60RR from Pattijoki between now and March 1st, 2022. Activity
is to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the start of "RAUTARUUKKI" steel
plant's construction on May 1961. QSL via the Bureau or direct to OH8DR.
