QSLs will be handled the same as for the R0K DXpedition for those of you who worked that one. All three IOTAs can go in one envelope if so desired. PLEASE make sure you include a SASE so they can send the card to you once Eugene sends them a package. Any donations will be forwarded to Eugene as they were for R0K operation which worked out very well. South America can also go via K8SIX if so desired. NO bureau cards please.

Reports indicate that Vlad, UA2FF, is currently preparing for his next MVI DXpedition to take place November 17-28th. This activity will include operations during the Leonids meteor shower and the CQWW DX CW Contest. R1MVI is expected to be looking particularly for North America and Japan on 80 and 160m. This will be a very large operation with about 25 operators including some very well-known Topband operators. They are preparing big vertical TX antennas including Beverages for both short and long paths to North America (and other areas). Because of the rarity of MVI on the low bands and that the MVI team is mainly focusing their operations on the low bands, the NCDXF has approved a 1000 USD contribution for this expedition.

Look for special event station TM4ORA to be active from October 20th to November 20th. Activity is to commemorates the 40th anniversary of the foundation of the French Blind Ham National Society, the "Union Nationale des Aveugles Radioamateurs de FRANCE" (UNARAF). Doc, W9NY, will be here between October 27-31st and plans to be active as V47NS during the CQ WW DX SSB Contest as a Single-Op/Single- Band (20m) entry. QSL via W9NY. ADDED NOTE FROM W9NY: "Some mix-up in prior QSLs as our QSL manager was tragically killed in an experimental aircraft crash and many QSL cards remain in limbo at his former home. Anyone not receiving response to QSLs sent previously should resubmit them as we have ALWAYS QSLed 100% on received cards."

Just a reminder that David/VK2CZ and Charlie/W0YG will be active next weekend as VK9XD (QSL via VK6NE) and VK9XG (QSL via W0YG, direct), respectively, from here between October 23rd and November 6th. Paul, K1XM, will be active as VP9I during the CQ WW DX SSB Contest (October 29-30th) and the CQ WW DX CW Contest (November 26-27th) as Single-Op/Low-Power entry. QSL via KQ1F.
